The Institute of Child Development is a Romanian non-governmental organization launched in June 2004 to continue the research and education work of several US universities committed to establishing a strong basis for the advancement of child development science in Romania. The Institute of Child Development (IDC) was founded by the Tulane Foundation, the SERA Romania Foundation and the Academy of Medical Sciences of Romania. These three Romanian-registered organizations joined their differing strengths under the IDC umbrella of the for the promotion of child development knowledge.
